Rodeo Events FAQ

What rodeo events will I see at the SLE Rodeo?
Each of the four PRCA rodeo performances will feature eight rodeo events:
    • bareback riding
    • steer wrestling
    • team roping
    • saddle bronc riding
    • breakaway roping
    • tie-down roping
    • barrel racing
    • bull riding
When will I get to see the rodeo clown and specialty act perform?
Each of the four PRCA rodeo performances will feature entertainment from the rodeo clown and the specialty act.

What is slack?
We can only allow so many contestants to compete during each rodeo performance, so we host slack to accommodate the extra entries. You can watch slack for free on Thursday morning, the day before the first performance. Slack does not include rodeo clown or specialty act entertainment, roughstock events, or vendor shopping opportunities.

How long does the rodeo last?
Each rodeo performance typically lasts 2 - 2.5 hours.

What is a daysheet and where can I find one?
A daysheet is a list of rodeo contestants competing in each performance. Daysheets can be found here on our website. Daysheets will become available a few days before the first rodeo performance.

Is there a championship round?
No. The SLE Rodeo is only one go-round meaning each contestant only competes one time and the highest score or fastest time of the whole weekend wins. The winner could be in slack or any one of the rodeo performances.

Can I compete in the SLE Rodeo?
Only contestants who are members of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) or the Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) can compete in the SLE Rodeo. Both card holders and permit holders are eligible to compete.

Where can I find the results for the SLE Rodeo?
On our website homepage, hover over the "SLE Rodeo" dropdown and select "SLE Rodeo Results & Payout."
